Harry Lovick Died 17th September 1917
Harry (Henry) was born in 1883 to John and Emily Lovick. His family lived in Crowthorne. In 1910 Harry married Jessie and in 1911 they lived at Elgin Cottages, Pinewood Avenue, Crowthorne.
He enlisted in Wokingham as a Private in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry( number 204404) 2/4th battalion. He died in France on the 17th September 1917 and is buried at Abbeville where he probably died in the many hospitals set up there during the war. We do not know whether he and Jessie had any children, but there are several Lovicks born in the area between 1910 and Harry’s death in 1917.
