Arthur Owen Brown. Died 30 September 1918
By the end of the First World War, the father Henry, had lost both his sons. (his wife Mary had died in 1907 at the age of 46). Owen (Arthur Owen) was the younger brother of George ‘Harry’ Brown and died of wounds. On 30 September 1918, only a matter of weeks before the end of the conflict.He died serving in the Royal Irish Rifles though records show that he was previously in the royal Warwickshire Regiment.
He is buried in “Bandagem” cemetery, Poperinge. the name of which is not as Flemish as it may sound :
