William Dance Died 30 July 1916
William was the older brother of John Robert Dance (killed 16 Nov 1914). They were a family of 9 children born to Mary Ann and George of Fairview Cottages, Wokingham in Wescott Road.
Before the war William was a carter on a farm like his brothers and he too joined the Royal Berkshire Regiment 5th battalion (number 21000). He died on 30th july 1916 on the Somme campaign and is buried at Tincourt British cemetery.
